The Client

Ariel Cameron Photography is an Auburn-based wedding photographer serving Southeast USA and worldwide. It prides itself on providing clients with a high-quality, authentic, and organized photography experience. The company founder, Ariel, works with client wedding planners to ensure priorities are met, allowing clients to be fully present with the people who matter most to them on their special day.

The Objectives

Ariel came to Studio Kellams looking for a refreshed brand experience for her photography business. She felt caught in a lull in her business, having just come off of maternity leave, and as though her current branding wasn’t representative of her evolved vision for her company. Thus, the overarching goal of this project was to reinvigorate her brand through a high-end but carefree new visual identity, with soft, Italian-summer inspired aesthetic.

The Approach

I strategically curated typography combinations that were classic and sophisticated, yet playful and inviting. With that goal in mind, I chose a serif font that has some character and personality to it as the primary type. I also incorporated a script font into some of the logo variations as an accent font for versatility and visual interest, and balanced the overall look with a complimentary monospace font for supporting text. The color palette was made up of neutrals and overall muted tones to let the photography itself shine through, but was really inspired by the coastline of the Mediterranean with its sandy beaches and blue hues to evoke the luxurious but relaxed feeling ACP target clients seek for their wedding day.
