Cloud Nine is a recreation brand that offers professional sporting experiences, corporate outings, and family friendly ventures. The waves that made this project happen? While exploring the waters outside Islamorada, Emma met the captain of Cloud Nine Charters, Greg Eklund. As two small business owners, they soon got to chatting about their experiences as entrepreneurs. Greg shared that he was unhappy with his inconsistent branding and cluttered website (which was also difficult to maintain). Thus, a design partnership was born!
The goal for this project was to streamline Cloud Nine’s conversion funnel and create an improved user experience that generates higher quality leads. As a fishing and boat charter service for both new and experienced fishermen alike in Islamorada, Florida, we set out to portray a brand that was both an authority in big game fishing and also welcoming to more recreational fishers and families.
Their website needed a simpler, more effective way to capture leads, so we added more conversion opportunities and elevated the user experience with clean lines and an easy-to-use layout. As for the brand identity, it was important to capture a high-end feel while also appealing to a family-oriented audience. To accomplish this, we curated a luxe, yet approachable fishing charter logo and full brand design that encapsulates the beachside bliss of the Florida Keys with deep ocean blues and coastal aquas (representing the offshore and inshore fishing charters they offer). Their custom-built 48 foot sportfishing boat, being a unique selling point, captured the heart of their fishing charter logo and hospitality brand identity design. We topped it all off with email templates and business card designs to create a cohesive brand experience.
